ASSIGNMENTS

Students compile an edit of nat sound pops. This exercise shows how and why we shoot nat sound in the field.

Difficulty: Beginner

Students create a 30 second holiday commercial using the provided raw footage plus any effects and music they want.

In this fun and challenging exercise, students watch an edit of a previously created Hot Glass story and try to recreate the edit using the same raw footage.

Students use the provided voice over track to create a 1 minute industrial video demonstrating how glass Santas are constructed in the glass blowing shop.

Difficulty: Intermediate
Groups: 1-2

Similar to the industrial video, but no voice over. Students must use sound bites from Terry and/or Gabe along with the provided b-roll to create a short video about how Santas are made at the glass shop.

Difficulty: Intermediate
Groups: 1-2

Students use the b-roll and sound bites from the raw footage pack but add their own reporter voice over based on a focus statement and a list of facts about Springfield Hot Glass.

Difficulty: Advanced
